Based in Saigon, Vietnam, EVA Dance Company was founded in 2019 by Sabra Johnson, an American dancer and director.

The company aims to cultivate dancers to the highest quality and produce performances and shows of any kind including: Theater, Burlesque, Contemporary, & Commercial.  These performances promise to be entertaining, thought provoking and boundary pushing for the company and its audience. 

Finally, EVA wishes to be an influential voice of dance and entertainment internationally.

MEET
SABRA JOHNSON

EVA’s leading lady.

Sabra Johnson, EVA Founder and Director, hails from America where she began her career in dance at the age of 15 training in Jazz, Ballet, and contemporary styles.  She joined the popular televison show “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 3 and became the first female winner.  Her career continued with contemporary ballet companies, including Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet Company in New York City and Tania Perez Salas Compania in Mexico City, and then to Europe where she joined a Tanz Theater Company in Darmstadt, Germany and later moved to Austria with Tanz Theater Linz, and finally ended up in Vietnam dancing with UDG Vietnam.  Since 2017 Sabra began to teach dance and direct performances across Vietnam.

Sabra is highly influenced by America’s traditional form of entertainment, Jazz and Vaudeville, bringing drama, excitement, and humor to every stage. She works with simple concepts, pays special attention to costumes, and uses a plethora of dance techniques but always has a touch of her signature Jazz upbringing. Sabra is eager to blossom her career through Jazz, Contemporary, and Performance Theater on stages across the world.

Introducing our dancers.

Choco

Lê Ngọc Trâm, Choco, is a dancer originally from Can Tho. After graduating from the Ho Chi Minh City Dance School in 2019, she began her professional dance career.

Specializing in Contemporary and Jazz, Choco uses movement as her primary language to convey stories and deep emotions to her audience.

In early 2024, Choco joined EVA Dance Company. This new chapter has fueled her passion, allowing her to work alongside diverse and talented dancers who inspire her to keep her creative fire alive while discovering new dimensions in her art.

TRUNG

Trần Phước Trung’s connection to dance began in his childhood through local classes and community performances. These early experiences nurtured a love for movement, inspiring him to pursue the arts seriously. In his teens, Trung formally enrolled at the Ho Chi Minh City Dance School, where he received professional training in technique and the language of dance.

Throughout his training, Trung focused on developing expressive versatility and finding his own creative voice in every movement. He has joined EVA Dance Company in mid 2026.

vivian

Vô Thành Vy, “Vivian”, is dancer who began at the age of 15.  Her heart beats for jazz, especially when paired with high heels, but she fearlessly explores other genres like hip-hop, contemporary, and wacking.

When she joined EVA Dance Company in 2023 she begun a new chapter of learning again after so long and continues to transform herself into the deeply captivating artist she is.

tam

Nguyễn Thị Thanh Tâm is a compelling performer who is defined by a masterfully balanced blend of Jazz Funk, Hip Hop, Heels, and Contemporary. Her stage presence is characterized by a "soft yet sharp" aesthetic, where she explores her artistry through technical precision and raw emotional depth.  Tâm always delivers an authentic and stunning performance.

In 2023, she joined EVA Dance Company and has continued to grow artistically through her personal expression and movement.

moana

Trịnh Thị Kim Vân, a.k.a “Moana”, is from Sai Gon and fell in love with dancing at the age of 16. She started her dancing career through Afro, Jazz Funk, and Hiphop and brings her bold and bright and presence to every stage she touches.

Kim Vân joined Eva Dance Company in 2023, where she discovered her affinity for contemporary and jazz dance and continues develop her artistry.

DAISEE

Mai Thị Như Ý, aka DaiSee, began her dance journey with a desire to tell stories through emotion and physical movement. Her professional turning point arrived in 2023 when she joined EVA Dance Company. Since then, DaiSee has continuously challenged herself, refining her artistry through Jazz, Contemporary, and High Heels.

To DaiSee, dance is an inward journey of discovery— a space where every movement becomes a way to connect with the audience through subtlety and truth.

TIN

Trần Phước Tín began his artistic journey at the age of three at the District 10 Children’s Cultural House, where he was introduced to and trained in various dance styles such as Modern Dance and Dancesport. Driven by a deep passion for the art of movement, he was accepted into the formal professional training program at the Ho Chi Minh City Dance School at the age of 11.

Since graduating, Tín has performed in numerous works and productions by both local and international choreographers, continuously refining his technique, artistic vision, and professional stage experience. In 2026, he made his debut with EVA Dance Company.

Residency

EVA Dance Company has resided at Dancenter Vietnam since 2019.

Dancenter Vietnam is a very important place in Saigon, catering to hundreds of students from children to adults by bringing international standards to their dance experience.  Dancenter is also a place that cultivates dance beyond the classroom by holding residencies for many domestic and international artists and giving them a place to perform.  EVA has been in residency at Dancenter since 2020 and proudly shares the stage with all its students every year at the DC Annual Show!  Thank you DC for being a fundamental piece in EVA’s journey!
